This resource can be used to support phonics and handwriting. To use just click the sound on the first slide and use on an interactive white board to role model writing each sound/ letter. The students will be able to practice both the upper case and lower case letter. The students can also use this themselves by following each letter with their finger. Here is the story map i used with my class to help teach the story Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers. At the end of the teaching sequence the children completed an assessed independent write changing parts of the story, such as the animal or the transport used to travel. My class loved seeing the story maps on the wall to decorate our classroom and constantly retold the story. I have also added some extra worksheets i used to help build up writing skills and sentence structure with my class before they completed their big write.
